Thrive Space Volunteer Role Description
Location: St Peter’s Secondary School, Hinchingbrooke School, Huntingdon
Hours: 3 hours, weekly during term time
Overview
Thrive Youth Work Huntingdon aims to see the lives of young people transformed. We do this by partnering with churches, schools, and communities to offer programmes that support the social, emotional, and spiritual growth of young people. Thrive Space is designed to support SMSC (social, moral, spiritual, cultural) development in students through fun, reflective activities around key themes such as emotions and identity. We explore these themes through games and questions to stimulate discussion. Students are referred to structured group sessions by teachers during lesson times or can drop in during break and lunch. This role is a brilliant opportunity for anyone who would like to be part of our mission to serve and care for young people in the area, and has experience working with young people. It would also be beneficial if Thrive Space volunteers also supported one of the youth cafés.
